Acknowledge Tree Tribute wall.heic

Explore trees in your neighborhood and create a tree tribute based on biology, history, and your own unique perspective that will be archived for others to appreciate.

For this interactive piece, the artists invite you to honor a tree from your own neighborhood by contributing photographs, measurements, and personal reflections through the project website—creating a living archive that blends individual memory with local ecology. Using AI tools, the artists will generate customized images and short text tributes, interweaving visitor observations with trees’ biological features and regional context. The display shows tributes from previous visitors, creating an evolving portrait of the city’s urban forest. Scroll down to see examples from other visitors in San Francisco and see the exhibit in its entirety at di Rosa SF's museum at 1150 25th Street, San Francisco. Your tree tribute will appear as well.
