At 6601 West 82nd Street stands the magnificent Erythrina lysistemon, the largest coral tree I've ever encountered! Towering at 50 feet, its vibrant blossoms shimmer in summer, offering a grand canopy of lush green leaves. This stunning tree has been lovingly maintained by its caretakers, who have crafted a beautifully pruned marvel in the neighborhood. As I stroll by, I marvel at its presence, undoubtedly a witness to history—a time when the first Hollywood film studios rose nearby in the 1910s and the vibrant Los Angeles Olympics celebrated community in 1984. This tree truly embodies the spirit of resilience and beauty!
